About This Speaker: Rayhan Azmat

Rayhan Azmat’s leadership journey began with a diagnosis that changed everything. In his early twenties, he was diagnosed with an ultra-rare muscular condition affecting only two people per million worldwide. What began as a limp gradually changed how he moved through the world — but not how he led within it.

Rather than stepping back from ambition, Rayhan leaned into adaptability, perspective, and disciplined focus — qualities that now define his leadership approach.

He began his career at PwC, working with major media and entertainment clients including Sony and IMAX as a Chartered Accountant. He later brought his financial and strategic expertise into the entertainment industry, rising through executive roles and now serving as Vice President at Cineplex Entertainment, where he leads Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, and Corporate Development.

Along the way, Rayhan learned to build credibility, lead under pressure, and navigate organizational change while managing constant personal uncertainty — experiences that now shape his keynote work on resilience, decision-making, trust, and leadership under constraint.

He is also a husband and father of two, and shares personal leadership moments from family life that mirror what organizations face: uncertainty, adaptation, and values-based decisions under pressure.

Rayhan serves as Treasurer on the boards of DEEN Support Services and the Disability Screen Office, advancing access and representation in Canadian society and media.

Known for candid storytelling and practical frameworks, Rayhan Azmat speaks about resilience not as theory — but as lived leadership.
