Drew Brees is a Super Bowl MVP-winning quarterback, philanthropist, and respected business leader. Best known for leading the New Orleans Saints to their first Super Bowl championship in 2009, Brees is a 13-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history.
Born in Austin, Texas, Brees starred at Westlake High School before attending Purdue University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from the Krannert School of Management and lettered in football from 1997 to 2000. Brees spent five seasons with the San Diego Chargers and 15 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. His career accolades include NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2004), Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year (2006), and NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2008, 2011).
Off the field, Brees is a dedicated philanthropist. In 2003, he and his wife, Brittany, founded the Brees Dream Foundation, which has contributed over $50 million to cancer patients and underserved communities. He also co-founded SHIELD 1 Foundation, focusing on key social issues like education, housing, healthcare, business development, HBCU support, and legislative reform.
An active entrepreneur, Brees is a partner in GBX Group, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, Jimmy John’s, Smalls Sliders, Football N America, and Franworth. He also serves on the boards of Surf Sports, Stretch Zone, and Franworth, and formerly served on the NFLPA and the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition.
Brees has participated in five USO tours, visiting U.S. troops in locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, and Djibouti. Today, Drew lives in San Diego, California, with his wife Brittany and their four children—Baylen, Bowen, Callen, and Rylen.
