Congratulations to Carey Price: Hockey Hall of Fame 2026

Most hockey careers are measured in statistics. For Carey Price that’s 361 wins over 15 seasons, the Hart, Vezina, and Ted Lindsay Awards in the same year, a Bill Masterson Trophy for sportsmanship, a World Cup Championship and an Olympic Gold Medal. More notably he created a lasting impact on so many lives because of how he carried himself off the ice. On June 22, 2026, the Hockey Hall of Fame announced Carey Price as a member of its Class of 2026.

Talent Bureau is proud to work with the talent and heart that Carey is. We couldn’t let this moment pass without saying what we think the hockey world already knows. This honour is well deserved, and Price receiving it will go down in history as more than a generational  goaltender. Carey Price will be remembered as a generational Canadian.

The Bigger Game

In October 2021, Price voluntarily entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. He had always projected calm under pressure. Then, quietly, he asked for help. In doing so, he helped shift the culture of a sport where toughing it out is the norm.

Raised in Anahim Lake, BC as a member of the Ulkatcho First Nation, Price never let distance or profile separate him from his roots. His mother Lynda is Chief of the First Nation. His grandmother, a residential school survivor, inspires the legacy that Carey openly speaks about.

During Montreal’s 2021 playoff run, he walked out of his way before a game in Winnipeg to greet residential school survivors. An Indigenous player watching said he was one of the busiest athletes in the world, and he still made the detour on foot, right before a game, just to be close to his community.

That’s who Carey Price is off the ice.

On and Off the Ice, Carey Price is a Leader

Carey Price speaks about leadership, mental wellness, and resilience with the same directness he brought to every save he made. For event planners building programs around peak performance or mental health, he brings something rare: credibility earned at the highest level of pressure the world puts on an athlete, grounded in the humility of someone who never forgot where he came from.

Congrats again to Carey Price on joining the Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2026!
