Born in 1967 in Cap-Haïtien, Bruny Surin is celebrated as one of the world’s top sprinters. A four-time Olympian, he significantly contributed to Canada’s sporting history by helping his team secure gold in the 4x100m relay at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Surin’s success is deeply rooted in his perseverance and personal mantra, “The me I see is the me I’ll be.”
Surin’s athletic accomplishments are numerous and impressive. He is the 12th fastest sprinter ever in the 100m and has been an eight-time Canadian champion in the same event, holding national records in both the 100m and 60m. He has also earned titles as a two-time vice-world champion in the 100m, a two-time world champion in the 60m indoor event, and a two-time world champion in the 4x100m relay. His accolades include membership in the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, and Quebec’s Sports Hall of Fame, along with honors such as the Diamond Jubilee Medal of Queen Elizabeth II, the Ordre national du Québec, and the Order of Canada. Furthermore, he has been named the Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

He has invested in real estate and leads Sprint Management Inc., which develops business partnerships and provides motivational speaking and mentoring services worldwide.
