Nick Eakins: 2019 Year at a Glance

Nick Eakins: 2019 Year at a Glance

Last year was a wildly fun and successful year at Talent Bureau. We worked on hundreds of fantastic projects with clients – some that you may have seen me post about already and others that are right around the corner.

I’m lucky to get the opportunity to work with many amazing clients and helping place talent for their events and campaigns. Looking back at 2019, I wanted to share a few of my favourite projects from this past year. Take a look at some of our work!

BizNasty x American Express Canada

Throughout 2019, we’ve worked with Paul Bissonnette and AMEX Canada to build out custom content around the AMEX Platinum Card. The content has been amongst the top-performing content of the entire campaign, leading to many new card sign-ups.

Paul is a trailblazer in hockey media. A former NHL fourth-liner, Paul has become a beloved social personality with over one-million followers and host of the ever-popular Spittin’ Chiclets podcast. Brands love working with him, so keep him in mind for your next project.

Amanda Stanton & Christy Carlson Romano x MOLUK

MOLUK, a toy company that strives to create innovative and sustainable products that entertain kids with real interaction, was looking to make their first large influencer splash, which is where we came in.

We worked with them and helped them partner with two high-calibre influencers – Amanda Stanton, a contestant on the 20th season of The Bachelor, and Christy Carlson Romano, an American actress best known for being the voice behind Disney’s Kim Possible. Take a look at some of the content we created below.

Robert Herjavec x IBM

If you grew up in Canada, I assume you watched at least one episode of Dragons’ Den. If you’re me, you watched hundreds of episodes, as well as Shark Tank on CTV’s feed. With that being said, getting to work with Robert Herjavec was a privilege, as he’s one of our nation’s top entrepreneurs and business moguls.

Robert delivered a fantastic, tailored keynote at the first annual CASCON x EVOKE Conference supported by IBM. Going into 2020, we’re excited to work with him further on both keynote and branded partnership opportunities.

Jeremie Saunders x Hospice Palliative Care Ontario

Jeremie Saunders, a co-host of the popular Canadian podcast Sickboy, delivered the closing keynote at Hospice Palliative Care Ontario’s Annual Conference. One of the best parts of this job is receiving great feedback from clients. Jeremie’s review from this event was extremely great – here’s what they had to say, “In a word, Jeremie was AMAZING. My conference highlight for sure and many others as well. Not only was his presentation the best, but he also attracts those around him with his inner beauty. He received a standing ovation (that doesn’t happen often) and everyone wanted a picture with him.”

Harrison Browne x RCMP

In August, Harrison Browne – the first transgendered professional athlete – led an RCMP Youth Leadership Workshop devoted to the subjects of sense of self, bullying and healthy relationships through critical thinking and self-expression. He spoke to students and RCMP employees in Saskatchewan and has been back several times since.
