30 Oct Soccer Legend Christine Sinclair Announces Retirement
3 min read | Christine Sinclair, one of the most decorated soccer players ever, recently announced her retirement from international competition.
For over 20 years, Christine Sinclair has dazzled international audiences with her soccer finesse as she changed the game of women’s soccer forever. With three Olympic medals (including the most recent gold) and multiple CONCACAF Championship titles, Christine has inspired youth across Canada to put on their cleats and follow their dreams. Even respected by Canada’s top rival, the US (see Twitter block-gate here), fans are saddened that they will not be able to see Christine sport the Canadian jersey in upcoming international tournaments.
Christine has used her voice in the soccer community to advocate for the importance of gender equality in the sport. In 2023, alongside her teammates Janine Beckie, Sophie Schmidt and Quinn, they stood before the House of Commons to fight for pay equity.
As a speaker, Christine Sinclair shares her experiences and passion for soccer to inspire audiences to find the same commitment to achieving their personal goals. Her motivational keynotes showcase her ability to attack any challenge and use it as fuel to create something great.
Talent Bureau wishes Christine a happy international retirement and many more goals in her club career.
